2015 Sony World Photography Awards: Capturing the World in Its Beauty
Every year I try to check out Sony World Photography Awards which bring together some of the best photography from all over the world. The winning and shortlisted entries feature images from different disciplines and for different tastes and audience – from landscape, nature and architecture to fine art and photo journalism. As an amature photographer, I am less interested in the technical aspects and more in the story each photographer istrying to tell through the lenses of their cameras. “Light from the Middle East” Comes to V&A
The new and exciting photography exhibit is arriving to the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) on 13 November 2012. (Originally published on www.agimag.com) Called “Light from the Middle East: New Photography”, it is a first major photography exhibit from the Middle East, region that stretches from North Africa all the way to Central Asia. Over 90 photographs by 30, both veteran and beginner, artists from 13 different countries will be on display. Given the diversity of photography styles and techniques, as well as their subjects, the exhibit will be divided into three main themes – Recording, Reframing and Resisting.
