London Fashion Week 2012: Street Style

So, it’s been a week since the end of the London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013 shows. This year I was lucky to attend it in my new role as a fashion editor of a new and exciting magazine. While the shows I attended (John Rocha, Osman, Huishan Zhang, etc) were great and lots of fun, I think all the major action took place in and around Somerset House. That’s where most of the stylish people of London and beyond gathered for almost a week. Some came to show themselves, others to watch. 2012 LFW Report Day 2: John Rocha, Huishan Zhang, Yifang Wan and Others

The sun was bright and sunny today in London and I continued my quest to bring you the best of the London Fashion Week (LFW). Today I attended five shows, predominantly of Asian designers based in London. With high heels on and red lipstick as a weapon, I conquered one show after another. (Originally published on www.agimag.com) Huishan Zhang First stop was presentation by China-born Huishan Zhang. His S/S 2013 collection, inspired by his homeland, was superb both in the execution and presentation.  With Latin American jazz playing in the background, models with hair beautifully braided, glided across the room in elegant and ultra feminine designs. Paying tribute to Chinese…

2012 LFW Report Day 1: Corrie Nielsen’s Floral Paradise

Last night I attended my first LFW Launch party (courtesy of Felicities PR), rubbing shoulders with many ‘who is who’ of the fashion world. While statuesque models roamed around in latest designer creations, stylists, designers, bloggers, editors and other fashionastas, like myself, sipped cocktails and talked about much anticipated events in the next several days. (Originally published on www.agimag.com). Today the LFW has officially kicked off and we were there to report on who wore what and the shows we have seen so far. The legendary Somerset House with its LFW tent and other venues draws most stylish people from all over London and beyond. Among some truly fashionable individuals…

Celebrated Illustrator Brings Prints to GLOSSYBOX

I was invited to an exclusive press launch of September GLOSSYBOX designed by Maggie Li, a talented London-based illustrator who has worked with OKIDO, TimeOut, Google, WIRED, Reader’s Digest, Conde Nast and SOHO House Group among many. (Originally published on www.agimag.com) While some guests were sipping bubbly and snacking on custom made macaroons, others were getting their manicure done in the shades and designs matching Maggie’s box in the shades of peach pink, crème, and blue. As I found out, themed Rising Stars, a limited edition box features Maggie designs of various products’ symbols, which represent GLOSSYBOX’s philosophy of bringing best of the beauty products to wider audiences. As usual,…
