Over the Knee Boots: Buy, Style, Wear
Over-the-knee boots have been fashionable on and off for years now but this fall the trend has taken off again and can be found in every high street and online fashion store in various colours, materials and prices! What I really love about over-the-knee boots is their understated chic and versatility. They can instantly make a whole outfit and can easily be paired with dresses, skirts, shorts and jeans. Source: Just the Design Leather and suede over-the-knee boots are particularly cosy during fall and winter months. Layered with over the knee socks (my favorite!), they well protect my knees in cold weather, allowing me to look fashionable even in winter. They also make…

And the Liebster Award Goes To…
This week I got my first Liebster Award! Even though there is no actual trophy involved, the Liebster Award is becoming popular in the blogging community as a way to introduce, support and promote smaller (under 200 followers) blogs by fellow bloggers. It’s a great way to be discovered and connect with other bloggers you may not have heard of before. I got nominated by a fellow blogger, Subhadrika Sen of the Trekkers of the East blog. Subhadrika and I collaborated recently serving as guest bloggers for each other’s sites – check out her great post on India’s off-beat holiday destinations. So, before I pass on the honor of nominating few other bloggers, let me…

Like every other woman, I am a sucker for the freebies and gift bags. So when I saw Estée Lauder offering free gift with a purchase, I wanted to check it out. Interestingly, it has been running gift campaigns at John Lewis first, then House of Fraser and now Debenhams. I missed the first one, but got the last two. The condition is to purchase two products with one being skincare or foundation. So, below is my quick run through the products I purchased and products I got as part of the free gifts. Estée Lauder gift bag – House of Fraser Products purchased: Estée Lauder Genuine Glow priming moisture eye…

Cooking Joe Wicks’ Chicken Pie
With autumn settling in and London evenings becoming cooler, I tend to cook heartier and more comforting meals. Yet, I am also always on the look out for healthy filling meals. So when I came across a chicken pie recipe from Lean in 15 book by Joe Wicks (aka the Body Coach who I have been following for a couple of years now), I had to try it out. Let me walk you through the process to show how easy it is to make this very tasty chicken pie. INGREDIENTS 2 large knobs of butter ( I used 1 tsp of coconut oil to make it healthier) 1 pack of mushrooms (about 200g), quartered 1 large…

Chicken and Chorizo Jambalaya
I don’t know how about you but I love a good old jambalaya that is succulent and flavorsome! It’s my go-to dish when I am short on time but want to cook a tasty and filling, yet easy rice dish. I found this great recipe on BBC’s Good Food website, which I have further refined as it was coming out too dry. I hope you like this jambalaya as much as I and my husband do! It’s perfect for cooler fall evenings and the recipe makes 4 servings, which means I have leftovers for lunch as well. INGRIDIENTS 1 tbsp olive oil 2 chicken breast, chopped 1 onion, diced 2 bell…
