Over the Knee Boots: Buy, Style, Wear
Over-the-knee boots have been fashionable on and off for years now but this fall the trend has taken off again and can be found in every high street and online fashion store in various colours, materials and prices! What I really love about over-the-knee boots is their understated chic and versatility. They can instantly make a whole outfit and can easily be paired with dresses, skirts, shorts and jeans.

Leather and suede over-the-knee boots are particularly cosy during fall and winter months. Layered with over the knee socks (my favorite!), they well protect my knees in cold weather, allowing me to look fashionable even in winter. They also make legs look longer and leaner, which is an extra bonus!

My love affair with over-the-knee boots started many years ago. Now I own two pairs of gorgeous Italian over-the-knee boots (one pair is black suede and another is brown leather) that I bought few years ago. And I have worn them in and out with much pleasure and compliments.
However, I recently acquired a pair of affordable (only £49!) black Mango suedette over-the-knee boots with a chunky a heel. In this post I wanted to share few styling ideas and show you how being on trend doesn’t have to cost a fortune!
LOOK 1: Red Plaids
Ever since I visited Scotland, I’ve been in love with tartan skirts! So, when I saw this River Island skort, I had to have it. Since tartan is already a pretty colorful and busy print, balance it with a one-tone understated top, like this black fitted sweatshirt. Add a leather backpack and you are set!

LOOK 2: Elegant Polka Dots
For a more elegant look that can be easily transitioned from day to evening, pair the over-the-knee boots with a simple and classy polka dot dress. Add few jewellery accessories, like a pearl necklace and gold watch, and a great bag (like my favorite Tory Burch purse).

LOOK 3: Spiced Fall
Fall is the time of beautiful foliage colors, yummy spiced lattes and great and cosy knits in yellow mustard, beige, brown and camel shades. This look is really easy to put together: just wear a black mini skirt, relaxed jumper in one of the above colors and a felt hat!

LOOK 4: Winter Cool
I love this rock chic look for cooler winter months! A plaid flannel shirt paired with a quilted mini skirt and a big shearling coat. It is both very warm and cool.
